It’s a New Year’s Eve Wedding
And the dance floor is quiet…
It’s not always a bad sign.
I DJed at a New Year’s Eve Wedding. They couple were absolutely beautiful. I worked closely with the bride and groom to ensure the night was perfect.
There was only one problem. The dance floor wasn’t packed all night. The bridesmaids commented at the end of the night that they loved the music.
I thought nothing more about it until Saturday night just gone. I received a phone call from one of the guests who was there and they wanted to book me for their daughter’s wedding.
They loved the music and asked if I had a set play list. I briefed them on how the night runs and they booked me straight away.
My lesson. The dance floor doesn’t have to be packed all night. Yes it is good if it is, but some crowds are not dancers. (I know I’m not unless you ask me to Waltz, Cha Cha or Jive) Some people just wanna sit and listen to a good music set and talk 🙂
